Dear Legislator,

I am writing to urge you to support the proposed plans to invest $135 million over the next
three years to establish Preschool For All. This plan addresses a serious need by all Illinois
families to have quality early learning opportunities available to all three- and four-year-olds.

Providing our children with the early learning experiences they need is not a partisan issue - it
is a children's issue that affects families across Illinois. The plan announced by Governor
Blagojevich draws from a detailed blueprint developed by the Illinois Early Learning Council,
which was created by law with bipartisan support in 2003. Over 200 people reflecting all
stakeholder groups and both parties participated in this work. The time to move this important
work forward is now.
